Development
By Oregon State law the Housing Authority of Yamhill County (HAYC) is charged with developing affordable housing opportunities for residents with incomes below 80% of the area median. HAYC development efforts focus on both preserving existing affordable housing projects in the County and on building new projects to serve the expanding population in the County.
The Housing Authority has three projects currently in the development stage:
Jandina Park Purchase/rehabilitation for low income families (36 units, McMinnville)
Palmer Creek Purchase/rehabilitation for low income families (10 units, Dayton)
Village Quarter New construction for low-income elderly (50 units, McMinnville)
Each year the HAYC Board of Commissioners sets priorities for future development. For Fiscal Year 2007 the Board has set the following long-range housing priorities:

Low-Income Families
Homeownership
Special Needs
Homeless/Transitional
Work Force
