The Housing Authority is working with a downtown property owner in McMinnville to develop a mixed-use project. The ground floor of the project would consist of approximately 10,000 square feet of retail space and the upper stories would provide 50 apartments to serve the elderly population in the County.

Funding is currently being sought to bring this plan to fruition. If completed, the retail space would be owned by the current private owner of the land while the affordable senior housing up above would be owned by a limited partnership that HAYC would operate as the general partner. The project would include a community room and a second floor courtyard among its amenities.
