Statement Of Purpose – Landlord Advisory Board
The purpose of the Landlord Advisory Board is to have Section 8 landlords work together with the Housing Authority to figure out ways to better serve existing landlords as well as new landlords participating in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.
Goals:
- Obtain landlord perspective in order to set good policies and procedures for Section 8.
- Share information and updates on program rules and regulations as well as changes that may be occurring in the program. Use input from the Landlord Advisory Board to determine the best way to approach these changes.
- Educate landlords in the community who may not be participating in the program as to the benefits of the program so we can create a wider base of Housing Choice Voucher landlord participants.
The Landlord Advisory Board meets at least once a year to discuss agency changes as well as specific Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program changes and may meet more often as necessitated by program changes.
