We partner with the Yamhill County Affordable Housing Corporation (YCAHC), a designated 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, to purchase or receive property at a discounted rate and have the ability to provide a tax write-off.
The intent is to first provide the opportunity to buy reduced price homes for our low and moderate-income clients working towards self-sufficiency and homeownership. If we don't find a match we offer the real estate on the open market.
We have carefully piloted this program since 2005, initially working with a Landlord that needed a tax write-off more than an income profit. Once presented with our first opportunity, as approved by both the HAYC and YCAHC Boards, we moved quickly to address escalating home prices by acquiring homes at below market price.
