Valley Individual Development Account
The Valley Individual Development Account or VIDA program is a matched savings program offered through the Yamhill Regional Housing Resource Center. VIDA participants will receive 3 dollars in matching funds for every dollar they save (up to $1,000.00 each year) toward a specific asset goal. Available asset goals for this incredible program include Homeownership, Rehab of a Current Home, or Education. The Housing Resource Center can also offer referral to those wishing to start an account to start or expand a Small Business.
Enrollment in the program requires a 1 to 3 year commitment, attending asset specific training classes and meeting regularly with your VIDA Coordinator. Successful participants will graduate with their savings plus the matching funds. They will also have better financial skills and training related to their specific asset goal.
Funding for this program is available on a limited basis. For more information on this program (including how to apply and the selection criteria) please contact our Resource Center by email, or call (503) 883-4307.
