The Yamhill Housing Resource Center offers Homeownership, Credit and Budget counseling. This counseling is a free service to anyone in need.

We can counsel prospective homeowners as to the homebuying process, down payment assistance funds, loan options that may be available, choosing the right home and affordability issues. Additionally, the Center staff will be more than happy to assist you in reviewing any loan or closing documents and answering any questions you have as you purchase your home. We are also available after you purchase your home to help you with any concerns you may have.

Poor credit not only affects your ability to borrow money. Collection calls and past due notices can reek havoc on your emotions as well. The Resource Center staff help you work with your lenders to come up with agreeable terms. Additionally we can assist you in ordering and correcting your credit report, as well as assist you in making better credit choices in the future.

A good budget, or spending plan, is important to help most households run smoothly. The Resource Center staff can work with you to help you determine your own budget. By taking into account your needs and wants we can assist you in creating a budget that will work for you.
