Sunnyside
A fifteen-unit apartment complex was completed in McMinnville in the spring of 2004 to provide housing for persons with serious and persistent mental illness. The project is alcohol- and drug-free and the residents receive case management from the Yamhill County Mental Health Department. The project includes some nice amenities including outside, private entrances to each unit, a community room with washer/dryer facilities, and a gazebo on the grounds.Sunnyside was the culmination of several years of development work to find the right location, the right design, and adequate funding. It is now helping to meet a critical need for special needs housing in Yamhill County.
